Following the release of the hit single “Rocket”, Dublin band JUPE bring their once in a lifetime sound to the Whelans Stage.
Capping off a sensational UK Tour to an animated & vibrant fanbase, JUPE made a landmark appearance at Electric Picnic 2015, propelled in tandem by unrivalled UK radio success.
Having received massive UK radio coverage for “Rocket”, JUPE are setting the music scene on fire with their once in a lifetime sound and their mesmerising live shows, helping to etch their name into the global music scene. ‘Rocket’ offers an explosion of modern pop, under which lies a fusion of soaring harmonies, anthemic pop melodies, and thunder boom verse synths, touting Kanye West, One Republic and The Script as influences.
2015 has already been a massively successful year for JUPE. Signing with US label Perfection Records, the band boast a backroom team of music industry luminaries, such as Chris Carlucci and Phil Quatararo (Co-Founder of Virgin Records), and Grammy Award winning producer Bob Cutarella (Eric Clapton, Sting, Jeff Beck). They have also shared a stage with Mumford and Sons and Toto, and were named as the “Most played Independent Act” on Irish Radio in 2014 by UTV.
JUPE is the brainchild of lead singer & songwriter Tim Night, who established the band himself out of an intense lifelong love for music. A natural born performer, Tim assembled like-minded musicians from Dublin’s bustling music scene; Johannesburg born Drummer Brendon Rennie, Bassist Voodoo Jonesy, Donegal native Jeff O’Callaghan and guitar prodigy, Kevin Rowe, together creating the cornerstone of the JUPE sound.
